Belfast club collective, , have been promoting club events since August 1998.

The club night, which has been successfully based in Belfast’s Front Page Bar for nearly 4 years, are now planning a series of events and releases to complement the wealth of indigenous Northern Irish talent who have been integral to their success in recent times.

Hydroponic have, in the past, played host to some of the most cutting edge names on the club scene.

The club holds residencies with Asian Dub Foundation, Primal Scream DJ’s and Death in Vegas main man Richard Fearless.
 
 
   
  Appearances have also come thick and fast from the likes of Howie B, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Afrika Bambaataa, Cornershop, David Holmes, The Surgeon, 808 State, ‘Mr Nice’ Howard Marks, Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays), Alabama 3, Dub Pistols, On U dubmeister Adrian Sherwood, DJ Filthy Dirty Rich (Pyrotechnic radio), Leeroy Thornhill (The Prodigy) and the Original Bedroom Rockers, the new brainchild from Ex Death in Vegas founder Steve Hellier and Chemical Brothers producer Steve Dub to name but a few.   
   
  The flexible and open-minded approach to the music policy in the club has been the key to its’ success – long standing residents Michael McKeown & Watsi have arguably some of the most diverse music tastes on the circuit.

Twisted electro, acid house and breaks dominate their sets for the club, but the pair also make regular DJ appearances individually, covering everything from soul, funk, disco, dub reggae, dancehall, techno and hip hop.


This has led to residencies and appearances in Belfast club nights, such as Knee Deep, Hemp and Bedlam in addition to slots in London, Glasgow, Dublin, Derry, Portrush, and Manchester and even as far afield as Canada, Prague and San Francisco.
